Meetings of the Parish Council are not public meetings but members of the public have a statutory right to attend meetings of the council as observers. There is no legal right to speak unless invited by the Chairman, however, as part of its community engagement, Mepal Parish Council sets out a time for public participation in the form of a standing agenda item where members of the public can speak and give their thoughts/opinions/concerns on anything village related. The rules for the public forum are set out in our standing orders.
Due to Covid-19 all meetings are currently held virtually using Zoom until we are informed it is safe to meet in person again. Details can be found in the published agenda and please contact the Mepal Parish Clerk if you want to join the meeting.
