Mepal Parish Council

Meeting Information

Meetings of the Parish Council are not public meetings but members of the public have a statutory right to attend meetings of the council as observers. There is no legal right to speak unless invited by the Chairman, however, as part of its community engagement, Mepal Parish Council sets out a time for public participation in the form of a standing agenda item where members of the public can speak and give their thoughts/opinions/concerns on anything village related. The rules for the public forum are set out in our standing orders.

Meetings may be subject to short notice cancellation if quorum cannot be achieved due to unexpected Councillor work commitments or sickness. Details can be found in the published agenda and please contact the Mepal Parish Clerk if you want to join the meeting.
