Vandalism at Laurel Close PlayPark

Sadly we received reports and pictures over the weekend that one of the rubbish bins in the Parish Council operated Laurel Close Playpark was missing the outer cover which was reported to be in the centre of the attenuation pond. This occurred before the high winds, so is not an accident and if anyone has any information relating to those responsible we would be grateful if you can let us know. Vandalism and antisocial behaviour has an effect on everyone using the facilities and limits our ability to try to improve them in future. If we have little confidence that equipment will be treated with respect it is hard to justify new investment.

It is not clear whether we will be able to easily retrieve the cover from the water but we will look at how it can be done safely as soon as possible.
