Work Starts on Flood Control Measures on Recreation Field

Many of you are aware that we have experienced increased issues with flooding of the ‘pond’ area in the play-park where the bridge and fort are situated and in particular in the allotment areas. The current Parish Council are determined to try to find a long term solution and work by our selected contractors Anglian Land Drainage started on Monday 21st September to clear out the area at the back of the field. We hope to complete this work so that the allotment holders will not have their lovely crops damaged by the intermittent flooding.
